Along with Fall, comes “Back to School” and Halloween. A very busy time of year for families. Besides farming with his wife Gail and son Jimmy, Nick is also the Butte County 4-H Youth Develop- ment Program Representative. Kayla Cook Kayla Cook is the media coordinator/pro- gram assistant for Network for a Healthy California—Sierra Cascade Region. Network for a Healthy Califor- nia is dedicated to empowering people to adopt healthy eating and physical ac- tivity patterns as part of a healthy lifestyle. Amy Evans Amy Evans, is the owner of Eco in Chico (aka Baby’s Boutique ) & Co-founder of Green Baby Expo. Her children ages 9 & 10 are the source of her passion for sustainability. Amy can be reached at: 898-8687. DeAnna Holman DeAnna is the editor and pub- lisher of Com- munity Seeds Eco Magazine, a digital maga- zine focused on sustainabil- ity. DeAnna, a former teacher, lives in Durham & farms al- monds with her husband and 3 kids. Donna Kyle Donna and Jim Kyle started “Home at Last” an Equine Sanctuary now with over 22 horses & mules. Their mis- sion is to eliminate the causes of abuse and suffering of animals through education, rescue and by providing a permanent sanctu- ary. Michelle loves to cook and has contrib- uted recipes for Growing Up Chico Magazine. Denai Rubio Marissa Bauer Denai Rubio and Marisa Bauer first met before the ar- rival of their daugh- ters. They have always enjoyed running together and also play on an adult woman’s soccer team. Dur- ing and after their pregnancy they continued exercis- ing and now hope to help moms get fit and meet others while enjoying time with their kids!!! Bonnie Worthington Author of, Engine Ed’s Colorful Train, Bonnie has worked as a volunteer in the public and private school system in K-12 classrooms and libraries for over 20 years.
